What you will need on your Fishing Trip:
  • Texas Fishing License - Required for all persons over the age of 16 years old. If you don't currently have a license, Wal-mart is a good source, and pretty much all sporting goods suppliers. Cost for a one day Texas Resident is $11 for the first day and $4 for each additional day. Cost for a one day Non Texas Resident is $17 and $8 for each additional day. Cost for a full year (good Sept thru Aug) Texas Resident Freshwater is $28. Also you can call Texas Parks and Wildlife to obtain your license at 800-895-4248 or order online at www.tpwd.state.tx.us.   • Drinks, Snacks, and Ice Chest - Bring whatever food, drinks or snacks you would like to have during your fishing trip. La Paloma has a 32qt. ice chest on board. Bring your personal cooler with ICE to carry your cleaned fish home in.
  • Fishing Equipment - I have plenty (all types of rod and reels, just what we need for the fishing we will do). But if you want to bring your equipment, please do. I want you to totally enjoy your fishing trip. La Paloma is equipped with Shimano reels for your enjoyment if needed.
  • Life Jackets (PFD) for Children under 13 - Texas Law requires; All Children under the age of 13 must wear a life jacket while the boat is moving. La Paloma has all the required Life Jackets on board we will need including for the kids. But if you already have life jackets for the kids that fit just perfect, bring them.
  • Sunscreen - Always put on your Sunscreen, (you know that). I'll have some if you forget.
  • Dress to stay cool during the hot Summer. Wear a Hat, and protect yourself from the Sun and don't forget your Sunglasses. During the early Spring Dress for a possible cold morning or cool late afternoon.
  • Rain Gear - If the forecast happens to call for a chance of rain, please bring your own rain gear if you wish (La Paloma has a bimini top).
  • Bring your camera - I'll have a digital camera and will take photos of your catch and Email them to you. But if you're a photo buff, bring your camera. You will get some great shots.
